I've been noticing some palpitations lately so have been checking my heart rate with the oximeter on my Samsung Galaxy S9, and its consistently in the 40s and low 50s. I'm not an athlete, and am by no means would consider myself fit. I'm 5 weeks post a c section though and have noticed it in the past week or so. I saw my primary three days ago and an EKG showed 54 bpm. She just told me to try and eat more, drink more and sleep more and return in 3-4 weeks of its persistent. Labs were done and all came back normal. Heart disease does not run in my family… I'm 29 so hope to God that s not it. I'm super concerned I'm just going to drop dead at any minute.
