Is starting a 2 year contract with an iPhone 6 a good idea in 2018 or are my other options a better choice? SEE DESCRIPTION?

I'm looking into upgradin my phone which my contract allows me to do on March 29th. However, the only iPhone contract within my budget other than the SE which I do not want under any circumstances was a 6. However, the age of the 6 makes me think. Will it be worth it for 2 years? My other options are the Sony Xperia XA1, a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge or a Huawei P10 Lite. Which phone out of those would be best? I heavily use my phone for social media daily (Instagram, Snapchat, etc) I also do a fair bit of sending and receiving messages and WhatsApp messages as well as taking the odd picture every now and then. Basically, I'm a lifetime iPhone user. I would switch to Android if the phone is good. Which phone should I get? Are the ones in my suggestions any good? Are there better phones on UK contracts? Which phone would suit me?
Added (1). Also, if my contract provider lets me switch providers when I'm able to upgrade, I MIGHT have the options of the iPhone 7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7
