Trouble connecting to my NAS through my samsung tablet?

So I got a samsung tablet (SM-T560) running android 4.4.2
and a Huawei ascend p6-U06. Running 4.4.4.
Synology DS412+ running DSM 5.2
Both have the same apps installed (somewhat it kind of took over from my google account).

On my phone I can use the app GinkoDlna to access files on my NAS.
I tried the same on my tablet. But It's impossible to see it on there. (note, i use the same router to connect into my home network)

Other apps i tried:
- ezNetscan
- DS file / video
- imediashare
- kodi

I think it has something to do with the distribution of samsung that wont allow me to acces the NAS. I can ping to my gateway but can not ping to the nas
