Should I get Apple or Android? - 1

Now please don't answer if you're just going to vote for whichever side you're with, please answer whichever phone is genuinely better and safer to have. I've always had IPhones, I love apple. Problem is, I'm only a teen and share an iTunes account or whatever it is with my family. And sometimes our texts get sent to eachother a phones, and even though I don't ever say anything I'm not supposed to, it bothers me. Also iCloud scares me because it's easily hackable, and again, even though I have nothing to hide I just am afraid somehow my family will be able to see all my photos since we're on the same account. Though not bad photos, I have private photos (such as selfies that I'm afraid they will make fun of etc) that I don't want anyone seeing. However on the other hand, androids are a lot easier to get viruses and to be hacker altogether, plus they don't have some of the nice apps Apple has, and it doesn't have iMessage or nice emojis. Both are nice but both also have their faults, so what do you guys suggest? Which phone should I get?

(ALSO side note, my mother got a Galaxy s5 or maybe it was the s6 to try, and ended up greatly disliking it because it was very slow and ads would pop up all the time, and all she did was download Facebook. So her experience with it wasn't great but I want to know your opinions)
