SMART TV issue not reading USB files at random times?

Sony Bravia, 49inch, Android Smart TV.

Very arrogant tv, refuses to read USB at times.

I use the SMART TV to often watch downloaded movies off the PC to the TV.

Earlier I was watching Rocky 2 on the TV, from my phone (tv has a feature to browse files within the phone/connected device, I have a Galaxy S4)

I was interupted by my dad and I had to briefly disconnect my phone and off the TV.

Then shortly, I came back, reconnectedy phone through USB (much faster and cleaner than screen mirroring) to find that the TV won't open my phone and read the files I have, No pictures, no music, no video.

But when I connect my phone to the usb end, the tv will state that a USB device has been connected, and gives me 3 options as to what I can do (watch video, listen to music, look at pictures).

I went down to video and clicked it, then it instantly said there was no usb or video file, too view.

On the TV I use the given USB 3.0 (which works for every USB I currently own, 2.0 and 3.0's) never the 2.0 (which is a lot slower than 3.0 incase you're wondering why)

Question is, why doesnt the TV show my files instantly like other days when it does show immediately? (Regardless of what USB port on the TV I plug my phone/flash drive/usb to)
