I usually love natural stones and some plants so a colorful fish like a betta really stand outs… Only problem is he's a yellowish color so he doesn't exactly stand out from natural colored gravel and I'm now kind of stuck on what I want to do.
any ideas? What color gravel is my main thing, I was thinking black but I just can't picture it coming together in a way where he is the centerpiece. Inspiration pics welcome:)
I've included a pic of him… I know it looks like his fins are clumped but they actualy are just kind of curly in way that makes them hnag like they are clumped. His temp tank is filtered and heated though I didn't put much effort into decor since it's just temporary… A few stones, a pot to hide in, and a fake plant to rest on.
Added (1). oh… And if it makes any sense I would love to have a natural looking tank yet have a hint of a outer space/galaxy theme? If I can't figure out how to incorporate that no big deal. I just like natural and simplistic decor the best.

thanks anon but I normally pick sick bettas one purpose cause I like nursing them back to health, so I know what to look for. He's great. I'm not filling the 15g to put him in with no decor just to take him out in a few days when I decide… He's quite content in his 3g. Thanks for your suggestions which were mostly what I specifically stated I DON'T like -__-;
I do understand your concern, I'm well aware it's a bad pic. He was afraid of the flash so I gave up on getting a better one.
