Anakin Skywalker and the Chosen One Prophecy…BS or legit?
Why does Anakin Skywalker - a tragic hero/fallen Jedi Knight with a natural talent and potency for the Force - need a prophecy?
My argument is that this Chosen One prophecy is BS. I've read other forms of EU Star Wars writing (yes, EU is canon to me; it provides depth the movies couldn't) - like "Star Wars: Darth Plagueis" - and apparently Anakin Skywalker, his fall to Darth Vader and his destroying the Sith was just a series of Force visions.
The prophecy was that Anakin would bring balance to the Force by destroying the Sith. And yet, there were Sith Lords AFTER Vader and Sidious that rose up in power. So does the prophecy truly make any sense at all…
NOTE: As a fan, I'm thinking up a rewrite for the prequel trilogy. So tell me with a counter argument or argument supporting my hypothesis whether or not the prophecy has any validity whatsoever…
Added (1). I'm thinking that maybe this prophecy existed because Darth Sidious's rise to power and his taking over the galaxy is one that'll affect the galaxy in the largest way possible, and that Anakin Skywalker being the focal point of the prophecy refers to him bringing about that balance…
IDK this is me thinking up stuff that'll make sense of Lucas and his concepts, since it was rather… Meh and didn't make a lot of sense
