Regular Tablet as Drawing Tablet? Yay or Nay?

Actually, I had a WACOM Drawing Tablet ( Intuos Manga ). But it's not portable enough for me, and I only using it when I was in my home.
I'm a busy student, and I'll probably become more and more busy because I'll go to cram school and stuffs to get to my desired College.
And recently I had an idea to buy Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, it's light, compact, and has everything that I need in a tablet plus a Bamboo Stylus Solo ( it has an exact pressure sensitivity as my current Drawing Tablet), because Tab S doesn't come with palm rejector, I'll use a glove to block my palm.
So, is it… Good? Or I'll just save my money until my eternity so buy Cintiq Hybrid Tablet.
What do you guys think? Is there any better tablet than Tab S which less than $400?
