What's the best way to get better sound out of Galaxy S7?
A few weeks ago I upgraded my Galaxy S4 to the S7 standard. I booted up to find that the default Music player app was removed on the S7.
The problem with this was that the equalizer on that app was perfect. The equalizer for the S7 (the one in Settings) just could not live up to the one in that S4 app. This was the case for Google Play Music, Samsung Music (which is pretty much the upgraded version of the default S4 music player), and Spotify, which all use the same equalizer found in the settings.
I've also tried downloading equalizers from the Google Play Store but every single one of them makes this long beeping noise throughout every song. Some also had a whole lot of static during quiet parts of a song (this is especially bad for acoustic music). There would also be this jarring stop in the static and beeping between songs.
I've also tried using PowerAmp. The EQ here works rather well but I find the player to be inconvenient, confusing, and cluttered. Not really worth the trouble. (also all of the album art I had is now the cover from one of the songs I have and I have no idea how to fix it)
I also considered getting new headphones but the only "good" ones are incredibly uncomfortable and/or expensive. Besides, the right EQ can make any speaker sound great.
TL;DR
Is there any way to get the default music app on the S4 to the S7 or at least the SoundAlive EQ that it uses? Is there any way to get rid of the static and beeping from EQs downloaded from the Play Store?
