Why is my internet not activating on my new Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy S III?

I just bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy S III from Straight Talk for both my mom and myself and activated both phones. Like our old Samsung Galaxy Precedent phones, both phones activated within 5-10 minutes of the transfer being completed from the old phones to the new phones, only this time with one problem.

With the Precedent(s) that my mom and I bought when we decided to go with Straight Talk, all services activated simultaneously (dial-out/receive calls/voice-mail/texting/internet). With these Galaxy S III's all of the above activated simultaneously EXCEPT the internet. We called Straight Talk and, per their usual, people who couldn't speak English fluently answered and told us that we needed to wait 24 hours and that the internet would work after doing so. I have waited for over 24 hours and the internet is still not working. My mother will reach the 24 hour point sometime tomorrow. Regardless, our internet still doesn't work and there is no excuse for this because we are both on the unlimited $45/month plan that Straight Talk offers (unlimited talk/text/web).

The Straight Talk reps also recommended a PRL update over the phone and we did this and nothing changed. Both of us have power cycled our phones numerous times and that didn't work. We even turned off the wi-fi setting, per the Straight Talk rep's suggestions, and that didn't work. The recommend settings on the phone are correct already:

Mobile networks andgt; Mobile Data (checked off)
Network Mode (LTE/CDMA selected as the default).

Has anyone else had this problem and been able to resolve it? I don't want to have to return these phones and revert back to our old Precedent(s) because they are way too small and quite frankly, the phones are kinda lame.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
