How to fix safe mode on galaxy s4 active?

I have safe mode on after I washed my phone (because it's waterproof) but I guess the case wasn't fully closed and some water got in so I dried it and turned it on and for the first 2 days the screen kept on flickering while on safe mode. The flickering stopped but I am still on safe mode. I turned it off and on again like 10 times. I also did the thing where I turn it off and while turning it on again, hold the volume down button. I pressed the volume up button to download that custom OS thing and waited a day (like 24 hours) but since was still "downloading" and I needed to use it to call at least, I turned it off and on again.
Any other solutions?
