C2D with GT 740 or R7 360 a good fit?

Dear all guys hope you're okay. At present I was thinking of a lil bit PC upgrade. Anyway I'm very short on my budget so please don't tell me to change my entire rig. I won't be able to afford that money right now. Anyway please have a look at my PC config/ basic details first…

Windows- 7 64bit Ultimate edition
Processor- C2D E8400 3Ghz
RAM- 4GB 1333mhz
MOBO- Gigabyte G41 COMBO v2
HDD- 500GB WD blue Series
DVD_ROM- SAMSUNG 22x speed DVD-ROM
PSU- Thermaltake 530 Smart series

Yeah, now lets come back to the business… Well I was thinking of adding a GT 740 2GB DDR5 or R7 360 2GB DDR5 gpu on my rig. But I'm not quite sure that it'll support on my rig or not, cause both are the modern low profile gpu's. But my rig is hellova outdated.

I just want to be sure that both the gpu's I talked about will be okay with my rig. Atleast on of them. Please help me anyone who can & try to describe it with a bit details
