Which of these SSD should I get?

I just bought a Macbook Pro, Mid-2009, 2.53ghz, 2GB Ram, 250GB HDD.

I'm going to college this year and the school that I'm going to recommends Macbook Pro's, but I bought an older gen. Since I don't really have the budget to go for a newer gen.

I'm going to study film, so I'm upgrading the 2GB RAM to 8GB RAM, and now I'm just looking to upgrade the HDD harddrive -> SDD harddrive, but need help choosing which one. I don't know a lot about hard drives so please explain why which one would be better.
Also, my budget for the SDD maxes out at $140. I also prefer speed over space because I have a 2tb external, but more space the better.

4. Crucial M500 240GB SATA 2.5-Inch 7mm Internal Solid State Drive CT240M500SSD1

Thanks.
