I own an international cellphone, namely a Samsung i9305, which currently is unable to obtain 4g LTE speeds in the United States due to apparently having the incorrect frequencies pre-programmed into it (namely 800 / 1800).
I've been assured that the phone has the exact same hardware installed as the US version, but is just programmed to broadcast on the wrong bands.
The phone is old and long off warranty, and because it is an international phone, bought with no obligations to any carrier or such, there's no problem with having to root the phone in order to achieve what I'm wanting.
I do not care if the phone will no longer work in other countries - I have another phone that will.
Thanks in advance.
