I'm on my family's Verizon plan and I have been forever. I'm now 19 so I wouldn't be opposed to switching to another carrier but I would prefer to stay with my family. The problem is that I'm very upset with Verizon. Not only is it very expensive, but I'm having problems with my current phone.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 that I've taken good care of. I bought it brand new from Verizon about 2 years ago, and I paid the full $700 or whatever for it. It's mine and I'm off the contract and onto their new plan. A month ago, it stopped charging. No matter what Google method I tried, it wouldn't work. I was beyond upset because there seemed to be no reason for the issue. I took it in to the store after a day of nothing working and they plugged it in. Of course it worked in the store. They probably thought I was an idiot. And I was upset because that meant they weren't going to do anything about it.
I let it go. But now it's a month later, I'm studying abroad in Spain, and it did the same thing. I leave in 3 days and I need my phone to navigate through the airport! I don't know what to do. Even if I get it to work before I go, I can't stand how unreliable it is and I'm scared it'll happen again. I don't know what to do.
Do I try to sell it and buy a new one? Do I argue with Verizon? Should I switch companies? Get an iPhone? What would be the best/cheapest option for a college student who just wants a reliable smart phone?
Thanks for your time.
