My phone has no insurance and is well past the one year warranty. It is a Galaxy s6 Edge.
Added (1). I figured it would be better to send it to Samsung to make sure it's getting a genuine battery. Also, since the battery is not easily removable, I was told it's better to get Samsung to remove it and place a new one.
