What to do with an old computer?

My previous main machine, is an HP Pavilion a706n, which I am typing on actually right now. It sports 2 gigs of memory and an AMD Athlon XP processor. The chipset isn't compatible with any other Intel CPU's I have, and the computer's processor has no support for SSE2 or PAE. So basically, not only can it handle only Windows XP as it's OS, but not even the latest version of Firefox will run on it because it has no support at all for SSE2.

I use it now for importing videos from my old camcorder. And I am also planning on obviously replacing it, but is it right at this point in time to just strip it for parts and scrap the motherboard and case? Does it have a second chance at life as something else? Please let me know…
