Why do videos from my phone to my computer look crappy?

So I moved all of my videos and pictures from my galaxy s5 to my laptop like in 2014, it's a Toshiba laptop, and every time I try to go back and play my videos, they like look kinda distorted and just jump from frame to frame, it's almost as if it's playing really slow, although the audio sounds like it's supposed to sound, but the video its self is very like laggy and glitchy, and I think it's because I was recording on the Ultra HD option from my phone because I have other videos that play just fine like snap chat videos, and I'm sure snapchat doesn't use ultra HD lol, but like maybe my computer can't handle it or something but I'm still not sure what the problem is, I have so many memories that I would love to restore, does anybody have any idea how I could fix this?
