How to skip/ignore (not block) incoming calls on Android?

Hi, I have the following problem I need help for. I have a Samsung Galaxy 4 phone that is runnin KitKat. Whenever someone calls me and I don t want to answer/hang up I have to wait until he/she hangs up. If I have bad luck the caller tries over and over again and I have to wait all the time to be able to use my phone again.

Now I know there are multiple ways to block a caller, you can block text messages too, you can receive notifications from calls afterwards and you can choose the way you want to do the blocking (hang up, mute, message…). You can do basically everything but not what I want, which is to kind of put the call in the background and continue using your phone as before the call. Then, if you change your mind and want to answer you can roll the notification bar down and do so.

I don t need/want to block anyone in advance - maybe if there was a crazy stalker or something I might, but I just want to see who the caller is before I choose if I want to take the call. I don t want to receive a message afterwards that says "Grandma tried to call you three times" and then call back. That doesn t make any sense.

Is there an app or other possible way to "skip" calls without having to hang up? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
