How to make a capacitive stylus for my IPhone that works from a distance?
Recently I've been trying to figure out how to make a pen similar to the s pen of the galaxy phones and the styluses used with the Macom tablets. However, I want to be able to control the screen without touching it to the stylus. I've seen that the Galaxy S pen uses a LC circuit to send electromagnetic waves to the phone to tell it where it is being placed on the phone.
If I were to make an LC circuit and simply point it at my phone would I be able to control it from a distance? I have seen on Wikipedia that the series LC circuit provides voltage magnification while the parallel circuit amplifies current. If it is really as simple as making the circuit, which one would I use?
Here is the Wikipedia link I referenced: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LC_circuit
