Why am I getting 400 bad request?

Starting 2 days ago my laptop can only connect to certain websites, like Google and Wikipedia going through my home router. I cannot access my belkin router s config page from my laptop at its IP address 192.168.2.1. I get a "400 bad request - illegal file name" error in the browser window. Same story on my samsung s4 phone and my galaxy tablet. However my wife s s4, her laptop, and her iPad all surf just fine and I can access the router page from them. All my devices work just fine at work on the company wifi. Uncanny as it is that all my gadgets fell down on the job and hers didn t, I don t suspect foul play. Any idea what s going on and how to fix it? I ve already cleared caches, rebooted the router, rebooted the laptop and devices and the cable modem, reset router to factory defaults, latest router firmware installed, etc. All the stuff I read to do for this error online.
