I am getting a new phone soon, normally I would hate on the people with huge phones, because it looks like a brick up to their face, it reminds me of the 1980s brick phones. I recently played around with my friends note 3 and lg g flex and the screen is just amazing. I am used the iphone screen, but the larger screen just looks, I also played around with the Galaxy S5 in the store and I like how it looks. I had a 4.7 inch LG Optimus G, and it was hard to use with one hand, I got frustrated, but I begun to love the larger display because it was easier to browse the web and do things with, the buttons however were oddly placed, I did not like the power button on the side because I kept bumping it every time I wanted to play a game.
I am starting my first year in college, and I was thinking about buying a tablet like an ipad mini for school so I can put all my books on it, however a phablet looks like it would be the nice in between, I wouldn't have to use more than one device. I am willing to give a big phone another chance just because of the stunning display.
I seen a kid on the bus who had a Note 3 and the screen just looked amazing, but it looked like it would be hard to fit in your pocket. I am used to using my iPhone with 1 hand.
I am thinking about getting either the Galaxy S5 or the Note 3. Which would you recommend and why? Would a phablet be a good choice for me? The Galaxy S5 looks like it would feel too small after a while of using it compared to the Note 3.
Added (1). So should I get the Galaxy S5 or Note 3? Or should I wait for the iPhone 6 in 5.5 inches?
Added (2). I find it really hard for me to imagine IOS on a 5.5 inch display, I feel like it would look awkward and odd
