How to locate my stolen android phone?

My Samsung Galaxy S 4 was stolen the other day right before I was about to leave for a camping trip. Honestly I could care less about the phone, as they are replaceable, but the photos of my 8 month old daughter since she was in the hospital are All on the phone. I don't have them saved anywhere else and I am pretty well devastated that I wont be able to have these photos for myself, her and other family to see throughout her life.
I am wondering if there is anyway that I can locate it. Since I was leaving to go camping and wasn't going to put the trip on hold because of a stolen phone, I called the service provider immediately and had them disconnect and blacklist the phone. They said that there is no way that anyone will be able to reconnect the phone now, and it will be seized if anyone tries to. The second thing I did was changed my passwords of my email and face book and all other accounts on the device.
Now that I am home, I am looking into how I can locate it, and it seems as though the only ways I can find to locate it involve my gmail account being on the phone. If I changed the password, I would expect that it isn't still on my phone?
Does anyone have any information that can help me, as I am desperate here.

Thanks in advance!
