Why is Apple iPhone considered fashionable and trendy?

the iPhone 4-5 was great, it looked great, but with the new iP 6 and 6S they look hidious with the entena lines and camera buldge, it's like they took a step backward, how can people even try to act like its fashionable. Oviously the new Galaxy S6 Edge and S7 Edge looks way prettier and more fashionable and trendy, plus you can do more on android and make it your own and customize it more the way you want than the iPhone, but yet people sitll buy the iPhone.
Added (1). My parents were using my iPhone the other day and couldn't figure out how to use my iPhone, they said their Galaxy was easier to use, I thought the iPhone was supposed to be easy to use and appeal to the older people for being so easy to use.
