Is my phone doomed? Recently repaired phone cracked, then was submerged?
Added (1). Samsung Galaxy S3.

I removed it from the hot tub after 45 seconds of panic, put it on a dry towel and wrapped it. Did not turn it on. Didn't think to go home immediately and let it drain for 10 minutes. Went home, removed the battery, vacuumed the edges and the screen where the crack is (which resulted in me making the crack worse), and then put it in rice cracked-side down.

This is not warrantied and have to pay market price for new phones as I am with a pay-as-you-go carrier.
