What camera is good for nature taking?

I don't know much about the technical side of cameras, i just know my samsung galaxy s3 doesn't capture pictures that well, lol. I always find myself taking pictures of trees,bugs and the ocean. Was looking at this one

I'm wondering if this one would be good for the nature picture taking hobbyist. I like that it has video too and is compact. I have mountains and meadows in my town i'd like to capture. Thank you
Added (1). I'm sure any camera would be better than my phones, but i 'm just wondering also what exactly i should look for in a camera if i like scenery
