How to fix Samsung Galaxy 3 usb port?

so my original usb charger for my Samsung galaxy 3 broke and i was lent another random usb charger but was longer than usual. One day i was charging it and it accidently fell and i realized because the charger was longer than normal, it got jammed into my phone's usb portal and was a hastle to get out. Ever since that, my phone would not charge correctly. Today i bought a new charger and it took a few wiggles and was a bit tough for it to be inserted into the portal and charge, but i realized the chargers micro usb wires in the inside got bent as well.

How can i fix my usb port in my phone? How does it originally look like so i can have a reference? I don't want to take it in and spend more money on it. Please guide me through this thoroughly, it is much appreciated.
