If a person has an AT&T phone and is on a plan/agreement… Say like a Galaxy S5 phone and they got it with the agreement, can they use the same device with a "prepaid sim card" if they couldn't keep up with the phone bill?
Also, if they went into an AT&T store, would the store take their device when they attempted to get a pre-paid service on that same phone they had the contract on? Or would just be denied? Got a buddy who has a phone, but couldn't keep up with the bill and AT&T cut him off. Hit him with SIM Not Provisioned message.
Now he wants to try to go the store and get a prepaid SIM, but I think they may try to recover the device from him, and make him pay full price for the same device just to be able to get a prepaid service. Or I think they might deny him because he owes money on the contract account. Can you give us some insight on if he can pull it off? Thanks.
